What does Change Up Management, Inc. do?
The Essence of our work at Change Up Management, Inc. is to help business owners create value by providing information and advice that leads to lasting change and improvement. When asked, we use our expertise, along with the vast resources of the Institute for Independent Business (IIB), to help clients effectively narrow the gap between where they are today and where they want to be. We always keep the owner’s best interest at heart. We realize the most owners don’t need a PhD, just a little help deciding what needs to be done, in what order, and how to change ideas into effective action. Our goal is the long term success of our clients.

Who needs Change up Management, Inc.?
We help owners of businesses that are growing into new markets or with new products, facing serious obstacles and challenges, or just trying to do things better, more efficiently and more profitably. Although not exclusively, we focus on owners of businesses of between 5 and 50 employees in all industries.

How does Change Up Management, Inc. work with Business Owners?
Our objective is to act as the Business “Friend” and Board of Directors for the owner. We provide an unbiased, independent perspective to the owner about their business and how it affects their lives. We provide “practical advice that works” on an ongoing basis and “hands on” assistance as is required.

How does the process start?
The IIB requires the Senior Executives at Change up Management, Inc., who carry the Institute’s Accreditation, to give some time each month to business owners to chat about their future plans, provide advice with an independent perspective, and generate a few ideas to help the owner recognize their problems and opportunities and get them going in the right direction. This chat is free of charge and of no obligation to the business owner.

Is that it?
Yes. However, if the business owner requests the assistance of Change Up Management, a Business Support Program Application will be completed that identifies the issues to be addressed, the timing and the appropriate costs to meet the objectives of the business owner. Upon agreement and approval, the work, then, begins.

Do the executives at Change Up Management, Inc. supply all of the advice and support themselves?
Change Up Management, Inc. executives are the primary contact for the business owner. As they evaluate situations and prepare plans of action, they may call in additional experts on specific business disciplines from local businesses or from the network of over 3,400 IIB accredited associates to most effectively and efficiently meet the business goals.

Who is the IIB?
IIB stands for the Institute for Independent Business, which is an international accreditation firm that trains and prepares senior business executives to be able to help owners of small and medium sized businesses. The IIB, a not-for-profit organization, headquartered in London, England, was established in 1984 and currently has over 3,400 Accredited Associates around the world. The senior executives at Change Up Management, Inc. are not employees of the IIB.

How Can I Learn More About IIB?

The Institute for Independent Business is the largest organization of its type in the world, with over 4,000 accredited senior executives, all of whom are highly experienced and mature business men and women with high level executive business experience behind them.

Some have been senior officers, CEO’s and chairmen of some of the best-known national and multi-national companies in the world.  Many have experienced the unique difficulties and the loneliness of being the Owner or Chief Executive of what is known as an SME (small to medium size enterprise).

Each IIB Accredited Associate agrees to give some free time each month to SMEs when they will meet the Owner or Chief Executive to discuss their business with them and examine opportunities or concerns they may have about their business and give guidance and source advice and help as may be needed. 

Questions on finance, including cash flow, credit control, raising extra working capital, and the possibility of alternative banking are often raised, as are questions on sales and marketing, export, manufacturing, health and safety issues, the pros and cons of ISO/QUALITY accreditation and all other aspects of business and profitability.

The great strength of the IIB Business Support Program is in addressing the problem of company Owners and Chief Executives not having anywhere to turn for some independent, unbiased advice or just a chat with someone who has “been there - seen it - done it” and survived to tell the tale.
